Burning Bridges

Well. Today.....eeeeee.....

Well. YESTERday Jack slept over. He came at 2:30....um. He came at 6:30. But before I co on, I'd like to explain my current dondition.

I am Sick. Sick with a capital "S!" I have a fever, and an intermittent headache has been pounding my cerebral cortex all day (actually, for the past few days.) The only relief is sugary drinks and video games. And hey. Dribing is kinda fun.

So Jack slept over last night. We played much Metroid Prime (and Prime 2) and watched I, RObot. An excellent film, if cheesiness is discounted. So, yeah. I slept until 8. Jack left at 11. I drove to Sach's at 1 to assemble our bridge. We did not assemble the bridge, due to multiple errors. So I drove home and realized that my headache hurt like [expletive deleted] [expletive deleted] [expletive deleted]. So I read some, played some Mario, llay down, and then I DID NOT GO TO JACOB'S HOUSE. It pisses me off! I love going to Jacob's house (I love Jacob's desk.) So here I am. Blogging.

*Scene from when I parked the car at the end of my driving expedition*

Me: "How far till I hit that box?"
Charlie: "Oh, eight feet, at least."
*Crunch*
Charlie: "What was that?"
Me: "The box."
Charlie: "Oh, you mean the little box?"

darkness closing....

darkness....only salvation is cookies.....must burn The Once and Future King. Must burn....

Okay. Today was fun. Well, after physical therapy, I mean. So first I drove a bit of the way there. Gotta get that heart beating. And when we get there we met this nice man with black Nike gear, Supernova Controls, and gelled up curly hair. He asked questions, demonstrated all of my terrible weaknesses, and then proceeded to show me a variety of excruciatingly painful positions which I needed to subject myself to in order "to get strong butt muscles." Looks like I'm going to need to become a hard-ass! Ha! Ha!
So after that we swung by Alex's house to pick him up so that he could go to our house so that we could tear out my parents' bathroom cuz they wanted it to be remodeled *breathes.* It was awesome. Now, it's one thing to tear out sheetrock with a crowbar. It's quite another to watch a 180-pound Tower of Alex punch out a wall. Yes. Very cool. We "excavated" sheetrock in the shapes of California, Iowa, Iowa, and 3 triangles. And one piece that had "ALEX WAS [HERE]" crudely scratched on it.
So we did that until about 4 (there were a few incidents with salsa) and then we cleaned up. I got 2 wheelbarrow rides. Then we took him home and I read for a bit. Then I played Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, which is very awesome, though I won't write 20 pages (this time) on its awesomeness. I played until 8:30, though I was only supposed to play until 8. So now I need to really catch up on reading, for my rate for The Once and Future King is 50-ish pages/hour. D'oh!

Blood Pressure

You know stress. Big test, maybe that one time you missed the bus. Your heart starts beating faster, your face gets warm, you get shaky from adrenaline. Well, I gotta say, for those of you who've never touched a steering wheel, you're lying if you say you know stress. You want stress? Try screaming down a winding hill at a terrifying twenty-five miles per hour! Try avoiding the other cars, or better yet, staying on the road!
Try keeping your calm when your dad calmly says, "don't brake yet."
DON'T BRAKE YET? ARE YOU #%@!#% CRAZY?!

Yeah. Just had to get that out of my system.
Yesterday relatives came over, and tomorrow I'm going to Zach's. That's all.

C is for cookie, and cookie is for me...

Ha. What a great song. I'm assuming you all know that that's a song that Cookie Monster sings (for those of us who did not have a childhood, Cookie Monster is from Sesame Street). Speaking of cookies, I've been eating a lot of them. Specifically, my weight has increased by 5% over the holiday break (6 pounds). Hmm...maybe I oughta lay off......nah. ;P

So, Happy holidays, guys! Don't spend your time reading this, spend it with your family!
Goodnight.

Closer...

Well. It's the 23rd. Close to Christmas. You know, this is really such a beautiful time of year. Look past all the stress and commercialism and crap and it's just so warm. Everyone seems to be united in a worship of family and joy; though our times may be dark, we still find the light in our lives. Take time to appreciate your family and friends and the time you have spent on Earth, and just enjoy life. Well, that's what I've got to say (scroll down for my life).

Well today I hung around, did some driver's ed homework, did some World Geo research, and played DOOM. And I slept and ate cookies and all that fun stuff. I'm slogging through The Once and Future King (my goal was page 250 by tonight; I'm on 131). It's very dense and sometimes takes me over a minute to read one page. But that's only because I don't read enough, I suppose. Shoot. Wow...

Well, I can't think of anything else to pass on to you guys. Happy holidays, no matter your denomination.

no Macs

Well, it has been a while. Specifically, a long while. So I will proceed to fill you in on the only thing that I really care to write about- The Magic: The Gathering tournament that Steven, Orion, and I went to on Saturday. Our team was called MS-DOS, hence the title.

So. I arrived at the Burt residence at 8:35. After a quick talk, we set out, and Orion infromed us that the bus stop was on AURORA (idiot!) So we walked quickly, and then he was like "guys. It's time to ....run!" And so we ran. With all our geek-powered might, we ran. Dear God. I can only imagine what it looked like. So we caught the bus and when we got on there was this weird mascara lady reading a book about Mary (the Jesus'-mom kind of Mary) and moving her lips the whole time. Then Orion started talking very loudly about how we need- need need- to get 'bombs' (very good cards). Then I pointed out that a bus is not the place to be loudly discussing bombs.
We finally got there and registered and then Oh My God we noticed a man who was even larger than the afore mentioned disgustingly large man from the other tournament. His shirt was stained with the food of a thousand meals, his clothes were torn, and he was a plumber's dream, if you get my drift. Ergh.
Yeah so first we played this really.... word for I hate them team. They were like the total stereotype noob-haters. Man...This one guy started screaming "Judge! JUDGE!! He RUBBED THE HORNY in my deck! He rubbed the HORNY in my deck!" because I cut it wrong. A very minor error.
So, play proceeded. We played some nice guys in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds.

*nerd talk*
So I played Black/Red, Orion played White/Blue, and Steven had a killer Green deck. He had lots of Snakes and pumped em with his snake Legen dude and an Orochi Hatchery to produce lots of little snakes. Orion had lots of counters and flying, and I had some discard but mostly damage keyed off of Spirits and Arcane spells. I should have made a total discard deck. Then again, I should have put in Nezumi Ronin, Mindblaze, and Cranial Extraction, but Orion told me not to.*

So we finished and rode the bus back to Home Depot, where Orion and I bouaght gift cards for our fathers. We walked back to Orion's house via the Inter Urban trail and had to listen to him complain about being scared and paranoid and how he actually wasn't. But Steven and I know. So we got there, ate pizza, I called my mom so I could sleep over. Then we played more Magic and then Sega Soccer Slam. An awesome game with great animations (Hey dude, let's watch the animation this time...Oh, yeah. Let's watch the animation this time). We went to sleep at 1 and got up at 10 and ate a huge fatty breakfast. Yum. I ended up staying until 2:15. Orion showed me most of Hackers, the movie that he is obsessed with.

So we decorated our tree. Now I might read or play Doom or *fire-like game* or all at once. But first the piano calls.

Another day...

Well, it was another day today. Word.

SWAG me, baby, yeah!

So...stuff happened. Last post on the first? Crikey.

Well on Tuesday we had this weird....you know, I don't even really remember, plus I'm lazy. CHeck out Orion's Blog (stupid link thing). Anyways, yeah.

On Friday I went to piano, then went home and played Starcraft. Specifically, played Starcraft until 11. Now that was kind of dumb, I will admit.

So on Saturday I woke up at 8:30 (yes! slept in!) and started and finished my math homework. It feels good to get up and actually do something once in a while. Then I sat down and read a whole book. Yes, a whole book in like an hour and a half (okay, okay, it was Meredith's book about this dog, but I was tired and bored and it was good but sad). Then I......hm.....hung around, finishing some other work and playing computer games and finally (ineveitably) went to Jacob's house, where we kicked some serious butt on Heli Attack and RobotRage (make it purple, dude!). I left at like 6 to go the annual SHIVELY SWAG-MAKING PARTY. Yes, it is thrwon by the Shivelys, who are, yes, our neighbors. So it was cool, and had lots of really great food, including [not caffeine or diet] Pepsi, weird taco stuff my mom made, scrumptious salad, and, of course, a delicious man-I-would-eat-the-whole-damn-2x4 platterif-I-could tuna noodle casserole. Yum! There was also hot chocolate and excellent spice cake. And of course, swags, which I did not make or go anywhere near. First I talked to all the moms (they were quite amused) about how Shorewood is full of stoners and sluts. Then I talke with the men about testosterone-charged activities, such as building houses, un-building houses, cutting down trees, and eating wood pulp (okay, made that last one up). So it was great; we all came home at like 10 with full stomachs. If you snuck into our living room at 10:30, you would have found 4 zombies sleepily watching The Simpsons.

I woke up today at 8:50 (YESSS!) and took Luna for a walk in Boeing Creek Park until 10, where I discovered that Zach didn't call because my mom yakked on the phone for like 2 hours. I went to his house at 12 (after play some SC with Keir) so we could work on the bridge. We worked, then played, and ate cereal, too. I had some Haunted Apple Jacks-- 19 grams of sugar per cup! It tasted awful. So we enjoyed some "75% less sugar: Cocoa Puffs; they were great. Then we worked some more, and played a lot. 1 side of our bridge is about 75% done. Oh yeah!
So I'm just sitting here and it says I've been blogging since 8:27. Wait....it's 8:45. Yeah, that's true.

I tried writing my "Poison" essay, but just couldnt' do it. So I'm gonna play video games (I borrowed Super Mario 64 and Super Mario World 4 from Zach; I got unstuck in Prince of Persia) and go to bed. But...I must play the clarinet! I hate practice!

Well, tomorrow is going to be...more bridge. Yes, MORE bridge. As if there wasn't enough bridge already. I think I'm going to grow up to be a terrorist who blows up bridges, and it will all be Ms. Fawcett's fault.

Ibe sick.

Yeah, I have a cold now. It's official. It sucks, though if I said one thing that I like, it would be the weirdo dreams that I have. On the 29th I was "The Hexen," and last night I helped Charlie to stop this crazy gunman-kid from gaining absolute power by joining the halves of a ping-pong ball. :P

I went to Zach's after school to work on our bridge. We got some parts done, and I killed 79 Metroids. We shall work again!

So, yeah. I finished my current events (ha! HA!) and then I got beaten up a little (a lot) in Starcraft. And I had played the clarinet before that. And the piano. So now I'll go to bed early.

I wish I had a good book to read.
